My interest with Radiohead also evaporated after their 8th album - I could not get into their 9th at all, but I think I was just at a different place in my life where I no longer identified with Yorke.
It makes sense that an artist and their audience will evolve and change and that they may not always be in alignment. It’s been a curious journey coming back to an old favourite, examining both the work I know well and the material they made after I lost interest. Thoughts are ruminating in my head about what it all means and what I’ve learned through this endeavour. I feel some kind of epilogue or postscript will be in order once i make my way to their forthcoming LP.
